Alyeska Bike Park & Sitzmark Bar & Grill Open June 27 - June 23, 2014
Opening day for biking season is scheduled for Friday, June 27, 2014 and operations will continue through September 28, 2014. Lift-accessed downhill mountain biking offers lift loading hours between 12:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M. on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays plus the holiday Monday of September 1. Bikers are able to load their bikes onto the Bear Cub Quad, Ted’s Express and Glacier Bowl Express to access the downhill mountain biking trails.
Alyeska Resort Celebrates Blueberry Season with Family Fun & Free Live Music - July 22, 2014
All over the Glacier Valley blueberry plants are starting to bloom with world-famous Alaskan blueberries, the featured ingredient in Alyeska Resort’s Seventh Annual Blueberry Festival. Scheduled for August 9 and 10, 2014, the festival will be held in the beautiful grounds surrounding The Hotel Alyeska pond courtyard from 11:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. each day with free admission.
Glacier Bowl Express Opens for Biking on July 11 - July 3, 2014
Alyeska Resort is proud to announce that beginning July 11, Glacier Bowl Express, the resort’s newest chairlift, will be open for downhill biking. With the addition of Glacier Bowl Express to the currently operating chairlift’s Ted’s Express and Bear Cub Quad, riders will begin their downhill ascent from 2750 feet in elevation, with Alyeska’s renowned views of the Turnagain Arm and surrounding mountains.
Spooky Fun at Alyeska Resort - September 1, 2014
Halloween is just around the corner, and soon enough it will be time to don a costume and join in some spooky thrills at Alyeska Resort during the holiday weekend.The Resort, in cooperation with the Alaska Railroad, is hosting the Alyeska Halloween Train on Saturday, November 1, as well as a concert in the Alyeska Daylodge featuring all-girl Led Zeppelin tribute band Lez Zeppelin on both Friday and Saturday, October 31 and November 1.

Alyeska Resort’s lively Oktoberfest features authentic Bavarian food, plentiful amounts of beer, polka music, and closing sets by Anchorage bands Rebel Blues and Nervis Rex. The celebration spans two weekends: Friday and Saturday, October 3 and 4, 2014, continuing the following weekend, Friday and Saturday, October 10 and 11, 2014. The event takes place in the Alyeska Resort Daylodge and admission into the festival is free and open to all ages.
