Spooky Fun at Alyeska Resort - September 16, 2013
Halloween festivities represent the last “hurrah” before the resort prepares for the biggest event of all winter: opening day of the 2013/14 ski season. This year, the resort is hosting the Alyeska Halloween Train in partnership with the Alaska Railroad on Saturday, November 2, plus a zombie disco in the Alyeska Daylodge on Friday and Saturday, November 1 and 2.
Alyeska Resort Resumes Operations on January 30, 2014 - January 29, 2014
Skiers and riders can once again enjoy the slopes beginning Thursday at Alyeska Resort. After a three day closure due to high avalanche risk, the resort is scheduled to open for skiing and snowboarding on Thursday, January 30, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. Chairlifts scheduled to operate are Glacier Bowl Express, Aerial Tramway, Ted’s Express, Bear Cub Quad and both magic carpets.
Alyeska Resort joins national Learn to Ski & Ride Month campaign - December 26, 2013
Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month is a national initiative celebrated in January that encourages kids and adults to learn how to ski and/or snowboard, or improve their skills by taking lessons from a professional instructor. Alyeska Resort joins the effort this winter with an introductory package that includes three lessons, lower mountain lift tickets and rental equipment for $99 per person.
Welcome 2014 in Style at Alyeska Resort - December 23, 2013
As the world counts down the days to 2014, Alyeska Resort is anticipating a busy week. On the evening of December 31, 2013, Alyeska Resort will put on its annual torchlight parade and fireworks show starting at 8:00 P.M. The parade consists of volunteer skiers and snowboarders in a procession down the slope creating a stunning visual effect. Immediately following, fireworks will illuminate the sky for a finale show. This event is free and open to the public. The best viewing is at the Daylodge base area.

Alyeska Resort Opening Day: November 28, 2013 - November 23, 2013
Alyeska Resort’s ski season officially begins on Thursday, November 28, 2013 and chairlifts are scheduled to be running from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Once the snow pack and coverage has been evaluated by ski patrol, announcements will be made regarding specific terrain and chairlifts that will be available to the public. Full base area services will be open, including Mountain Learning Center ski and snowboard school, rental shop and slopeside dining at the Sitzmark Bar & Grill.
Pre-season Savings End October 31 - October 20, 2013
The termination dust creeping down the surrounding mountain peaks is an obvious signal that winter is approaching and Alyeska Resort is looking forward to the start of the 2013/14 ski season. Opening day is scheduled for November 28, 2013 with chairlifts scheduled to run from 10:30 A.M. to 5:30 P.M. Frequent guests and avid skiers and snowboarders are attracted to the ease and savings that come with the purchase of a season pass. The Season Pass Sale will end Thursday, October 31, 2013, with regular season pass pricing going into effect on November 1 through the end of the 2013/14 ski season.
